Mapping the Future

The world is a complex system - despite the anti-science crowd, the impact of that complexity on how we live is harder and harder to deny.  Being conscious of how many factors control us, we want to control them.  But, as our own social systems are increasingly complex and swallowing us whole, nobody has time or the mental space to comprehend how all the pieces fit together.

At least, not individually, and not with scrolls of text.  Together, using map-based online programs and social media, we can make infographic/pictographic sense of our world and plan accordingly.  Ushahidi is an example of this.  E-Government is an emerging iteration.

Or something like that.
