That pretty much sums up the Harper Conservative approach to transparency, doesn't it?
They know they're hypocrites. They don't care. Empire builders don't follow the rules, after all, they make them up as they go.
Here's the problem with that general approach to life - when you don't practice what you preach, people don't trust you. And when you see but through the glass darkly, you tend not to see the consequences for such shortsightedness until it's too late.
