If the intent is to stigmatise your opponent, make them look really bad in the eyes of the public then hey, not at all. If winning is the only thing that matters to you, then yeah, take every shot at your opponent you can squeeze out.
Should your interest be to maybe do something about our democratic deficit, the muck-racking quality of our political debate and the increasingly bitter confrontations that are defining what should be civilised debates, carry on.
No one gets out alive. Great leadership quality that, isn't it?
