Stephen Harper's Fall From Grace

 

“All I know is for a man (Harper) who started out as a reformer, which basically is bottom up democracy, grassroots, he totally went the other way, he is all top down.”

 

Why has Harper fallen so far from grace?  It's simple - he's lost faith in the judgement of the people.  He fears what will happen if he isn't in control. 

 

It's typical micro-manager behaviour, really - the kind of behaviour that's proven to have a negative impact on the occupational mental health of employees.

 

It's a good thing he's committed to a national mental health strategy with emphasis on the workplace - let's just hope he carries this lesson hope with him.
