Go Fast, Go Alone - But to Where?

I'll tell you a riddle: you're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away.  You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don't know for sure.  But it doesn't matter.  How can it not matter to you where the train will take you?

What does this have to do with policy, politics and power?

Probably nothing.  If it did, I'm sure the highly confident and highly competitive political tacticians would have figured it out by now.  

After all, in as transparent a world as we now live in, one can't afford to have a one-track mind.
